ZeLIG Admissions 2025-2028
Last week, I had the great honour of serving on the admissions committee of my documentary alma mater, ZeLIG School for Documentary, Television and New Media, alongside film director Marie Wilke and Emanuele Vernillo, head of the education programme.
We had the immense pleasure of welcoming 45 talented emerging filmmakers to Bolzano, 30 of whom were finally admitted to the upcoming three-year programme. It was a difficult yet inspiring decision-making process, and I would like to thank everyone who was a part of it – the candidates as much as the whole ZeLIG team, especially ZeLIG director, Gronauer Heidi and head of marketing and communications Erika Waldboth, who made each day of our stay so much more joyful.
To the new ZeLIG students: I wish you an enriching experience filled with inspiration, perseverance, courage, and meaningful friendships over the coming years. The world needs good documentary films — and documentary film needs curious, creative, and thoughtful individuals to make an impact, both within and beyond the ZeLIG universe.
See you all again soon, hopefully!
